2005 FINISH LINE CELEBRATION!!
On Saturday, July 23rd, 2005, Mr. Richard Wong (General Manager, The Sutton Place Hotel) and Brent Saik (Organizer of the World's Longest Hockey Game) co-hosted the finish line celebrations for "A Blade To Consider 2005." Dr. Bruce Miller,MLA introduced Mayor Stephen Mandel who was also in attendance and supported the event with an enlightening speech to over 200 of the spectators who attended.
Special performances by Alberta's own country singing sensation, Samantha King, iHuman hip hop artists/breakdancers, mascot entertainment, and Howie Miller from Yuk Yuk's Laughing at Cancer organization were only some of the talented entertainers staged that sunny afternoon. A barbeque by donation also helped us raise some money for the cause.
